Marc Resnick
Marc L. Resnick is Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Florida International University. He is the Director of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory and has served as the PI on several
private and federally funded research projects in Human Factors and Usability Engineering for small businesses, the National Science Foundation, and NASA. He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers in the disciplines of human factors, ergonomics, and productivity. He is affiliated with the Technology Management and Engineering Management programs and the Telecommunications Institute at FIU.
Resnick also works extensively with the private sector. He assists companies in the design of management and operations systems to improve the fit between company products and services and customer needs and expectations. He conducts workshops in customer relationship management, business intelligence, and usability.
Resnick sits on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He is on the Technical Program Committee for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and is a reviewer for the Human Factors, International Journal of Human Computer Interaction, International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics, and IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics journals.
Dr. Resnick received his B.S. in Engineering Psychology and Engineering Management from Tufts University in 1989. He went on to the University of Michigan to get his M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering in 1990 and 1993 respectively.
