 Dr. Richard Cardozo

Richard Cardozo is emeritus Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Minnesota, where he founded the Entrepreneurial Studies Program, directed the University's Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and held the Carlson Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies. Before his involvement with Entrepreneurial Studies, Professor Cardozo taught Marketing at the Harvard Business School and the University of Minnesota. He has taught in graduate, undergraduate and executive development programs in both business and engineering schools.

Professor Cardozo's publications include books, articles, case studies, teaching notes and papers in proceedings of professional conferences. He has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Business Venturing , the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Research. Professor Cardozo has been a director of the American Marketing Association and the Product Development and Management Association. He has received Fulbright grants to England and to Israel.

Professor Cardozo has served on the boards of Best Buy Company, the Valspar Corporation, National Presto Industries and Brownstone Distributing; and as a consultant for both established and emerging businesses.

Professor Cardozo received his doctorate from the University of Minnesota, MBA from Harvard and AB from Carleton College.

His current projects include commercialization of university-developed technology, firm longevity, business growth, corporate venturing and entrepreneurship theory.
