Margo Berman

As an Associate Professor at Florida International University (F.I.U.), Margo teaches creative courses in advertising, public relations and integrated communication. Her Master's degree and postgraduate work in music gives her insight into the rhythm of language and the harmony of lyrics and jingles.
She is a creativity specialist with more than 20 years as an award-winning creative director. She founded her own ad and PR agency, Global Impact, and won numerous regional, national and international awards, handling clients like: American Express, Alamo Rent A Car, Clientele and Banana Boat.
She produced and hosted an interview talk show in Miami: "Artists About Themselves." In addition, Margo has written articles for national trade journals and reference publications including the Encyclopedia of Advertising.
Margo is also a corporate trainer, conducting seminars in such topics as: Creative Problem Solving, Powerful PR, Effective Advertising, Creative Ad Design and Writing Like a "Pro." Her programs help audiences:

Margo has also co-authored three books on spirituality: The Power Within, Lessons From Nature and A Course in Transformation.
She has been honored with many personal awards including: the Outstanding Community Service Award from Child Hope, Chapter Headliner of the Year and National student Chapter Advisor from the Association of Women in Communications. In addition, she has received Outstanding Teaching Awards from the university and the state. She was recently named the 2001 Woman of the Year in Communications Education. In 2006, she was awarded the Award in Excellence for Exceptional Research, Scholarly, and Professional Activities for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Her new book, Street-Smart Advertising: How to Win the Battle of the Buzz (ISBN 0-7425-4137-1), was released in the fall of 2006, by Rowman & Littlefield Publishers.
